Welcome to the guesthouse of the Murau-Kreischberg ski resort! Our guesthouse is owned by Hungarians, and our staff also speaks Hungarian, as well as German and English.
Are you looking for relaxation or an active holiday? Enjoy skiing in the winter or embark on an intensive hiking trip in the summer. Gasthof Kreischberg, the perfect host for you and your family, is surrounded by mountains and offers picturesque views.
Our family- and dog-friendly guesthouse welcomes guests with 10 rooms. The historic building of Gasthof Kreischberg dates back to the 1300s, making it over 700 years old. This is the oldest building in the neighborhood. Originally built for traveling postmen, it was called “Gasthof zur Post,” and a small post office was located inside. The Gasthof predates the church next door, and workers involved in the church's construction also stayed with us.
As the house is under monument protection, the size of the rooms, bathrooms, and the building itself cannot be changed. If you book with us, please keep this in mind and refrain from complaining about the size of the bathrooms.
Gasthof Kreischberg has been newly renovated and features authentically designed indoor areas. Our rooms are furnished with natural wooden furniture, and each bathroom is equipped with a toilet and shower. We also offer free Wi-Fi throughout the house.
Our guesthouse provides a rich buffet breakfast with unlimited consumption for all guests. In the evenings, we serve a buffet dinner in our breakfast area upon request (please order at the time of reservation).
Gasthof Kreischberg is easily accessible from the main road (number 97) between Murau and St. Georgen. As you enter the village, turn right immediately after passing the SPAR supermarket. Drive in the direction of the church, and our guesthouse will appear on the left.
In the summer, our location is the perfect starting point for excursions. Next to the house, there is an open parking area available for our guests.
In the winter, the Kreischberg ski resort is just 1,200 meters away. We provide a separate storage room for your ski boots in winter and bicycles in summer. The Murradweg bicycle trail runs right past the property, and the gondola lift and a large skate park are just a 5-minute drive away.
Tennis courts and riding facilities are also a 5-minute drive away, while guests can enjoy rafting at a location just 10 minutes from here.
